Inn House Breweries previous site was built over a decade ago, making content difficult to manage and the design was starting to feel dated.
Users were experiencing many problems with the site's responsiveness and usability. The site's structure was confusing and not easily accessible. Making it difficult for users to complete end-to-end purchases.
The in-shop experience is unique. Inn House brewery stocks several craft and artisan brands that attract customers from all over Scotland, with in-store experts to assist with your brew mix.

First up we redesigned the brand identity. Inn house breweries hope was for the brand to be “crafty and authentic but not to compete with typical loud craft beer brands"
A revised brand palette was inspired by the surrounding area. The art direction and visual language across the site is bold and friendly, working with playful UI elements such as price tags. We kept the typography choices classic yet modern, with an artisan feel to complement the content.
Highlight
It was clear that customers enjoyed their in-store experience and valued the ability to mix and match while browsing the store. To make it easier for customers to tailor their ingredients, we created a custom recipe builder. By providing all the elements needed to create a brew, users of all skill levels can start brewing right away.

Customers found it difficult to navigate the previous site, often struggling to find what they were looking for. With the new site structure, we enabled users to discover and browse products more easily, unlocking new value for the business. To showcase the new structure and allow users to explore the vast products available quickly and intuitively, we designed a mega menu.
